Got this seat in pink for my daughter a year ago, and couldn't be happier. Just purchased one for my son (red) and can't wait for him to get it. The cup holders are deep and hold drinks or snacks (or trash, in my daughter's case) without spilling. The headrests are the best! My kids fall asleep in the car a lot since we are always going somewhere, and my daughter's head never flops. That's why we're getting it for my son. His current seat has no head support at all. I will be handing one of these seats down to my youngest son when the time comes. I would recommend this seat to anyone looking to buy a booster - I don't do extended harnessing, so I feel this booster keeps them as safe as can be without the harness.

I had our choices for a new booster whittled down to the Britax Parkway and the Monterey and I'm glad we went with the Monterey. Its very sturdy, comfortable, easy to buckle. I went and saw the Parkway in person and thought it was rather flimsy and light, so I ordered this one from Amazon sight unseen but we love it.

My 8-year-old is on the slim side and weighs 45 lbs, so although he fit the height & weight requirements for a backless booster, they didn't provide the impact protection I wanted. Tried one of the Evenflo boosters (with a back), but he wasn't comfortable in it (too narrow). The Monterey worked in satisfying the impact protection factor for me and it was very easy for me to adjust it and put in the car. My son can strap himself in pretty hassle-free and he says the seat is very comfortable. I've bought 2 of these and have been happy with them so far. So if you think your child isn't quite ready size-wise to move to a backless booster and you're not quite ready either, the Monterey may be a good option for you.
